Building a PSK31 Modem

I am going to build a NUE-PSK PSK31 modem, using the partial kit. This kit just provides the PC board and two pre-programmed IC controllers. So, this is pretty much a DIY project, but using the great new “open” design that has been published recently in QST and QEX Magazines. I will try to update this as much as I can once I start getting into the build process.

First I have to order all the parts. I began that over the weekend. Many of the small parts have been ordered. The only real issue wo far is the LCD. The vendor wants about $ 14 to ship a display. That seems obscene to me. I am looking for other sources, but it does not look good. If the NUE-PSK guys added this to the Partial Kit, it would make be a great thing.
